Slow Ramble

After two very busy days of walking around town in the sun, we took things a bit easy today.

After a lovely breakfast at “Oso Azul” (Blue Bear), we walked about 20 minutes to an art gallery complex called “Fabrica La Aurora”.  The buildings were formerly a cotton mill and muslin weaving factory and they have all been converted into small studio and gallery spaces.  About a third of the spaces were closed today, but it still took us several hours to see everything that was open.  The best part of the whole excursion was buying some office supplies in a tiny shop.  Mom didn’t bring any drawing supplies so we got her some paper, a pencil, sharpener, and eraser.  The entire pile of things only cost us around 75 cents.

Thunder was rumbling overhead and it was starting to sprinkle just a little so we grabbed some bread from a bakery and made a simple lunch with it and some of the cheese from last night.

We spent the afternoon hanging out in our casita enjoying the cool breeze and some down time to do some journaling/crafting.

We ventured out for an early dinner of fish tacos on a nearby rooftop before heading back for the night.  We haven’t been overly ambitious today, and are really enjoying spending time together.  We need to be all rested up for tomorrow’s big cooking adventure anyway!
