Palaces, Views & BBQ

Charlie had to work most of the day today so I went out exploring on my own. I went back to Bukchon Hanok Village very early and was rewarded with a very peaceful climb through the half of the neighborhood we didn’t see the day before. It was spectacular.  After that, I spent several hours wandering around the Gyeongbokgung Palace, national palace museum, and folk museum. It was a beautiful area and I was one of the few people there. I also got to see the changing of the guard- quite a spectacle really. I wandered through the downtown area and had lunch in a department store. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my bibimbap bowl. I relaxed back at the hotel for a few hours before Charlie joined me for a Korean BBQ dinner. They actually brought a bowl of hot coals to our table to cook on! It was really fun and really tasty. Overall a great day in Seoul!
