Lonely Planet Fail…

Today we set out in search of a little culture. Several museums that were free and maybe a stop at one of the many palaces in the city. We ended up spending a large part of our day touring the Christiansborg Palace including the royal reception rooms, stables, kitchen, underground ruins and tower.   After we walked to the library only to find it closed. Lorie was thrilled though to find a large crowd of Pokémon hunters to join for a little while..  We wandered along to the Glyptoteket- a museum I was really looking forward to. We arrived to find that the entire collection of French paintings is temporarily closed. Disappointed we revived ourselves with lunch in their beautiful cafe. After we wandered the halls filled with sculpture before heading back for a rest.  The lonely planet guide I have this time had to be the worst one I have ever used. Incorrect times, incorrrect prices. Things listed as free that were far from it… it did give us a great adventure though.

After a rest we found a lovely place for dinner called Höst. We ordered a 3 course dinner with wine pairings that turned into six courses with many “surprises” sent out from the beautiful semi-open kitchen.  We walked over eight miles today!
