Today was a completely free day for Charlie so we decided to do our favorite travel activity and go find the food markets. We hopped on the subway and made our way to the Noryangin Fish Market first. It was more like an aquarium with hundreds of large tanks filled with all imaginable sea creatures. Octopi, fish, eels, giant crabs and lobsters, sea cucumbers, and scallops the size of tennis balls. One side of the market was all dried fish. It was all so clean and fresh it didn’t even smell as bad as the fish section of the Whole Foods on Soquel!
These guys were climbing all over each other…
Football sized lobster- actually I think he probably could have thrown a football…
Dried fish garland?
This was all manner of seafood coated in chili paste. The lady at the stand had a bucket of toothpicks but we were too chicken to sample.
