It’s Friday, and sadly our last day in Austrailia. We have seen and done so much in such a short time, but I am really not ready to go home yet. I think it will take many more trips to this amazing country to even scratch the surface of what it has to offer.
We ended our trip in perfect Australian fashion with a trip to the Gorge Animal Park outside Adelaide. There we got to cuddle some Koalas and feed cookies to Kangaroos. The park is small and easily accessible. It was amazing that we could simply walk through a gate and hang out with hundreds of Kangaroos. It all went well as long as we had cookies to share, but once we ran out the Kangaroos got a little grumpy and we decided to visit some of the other animals. One of the sweetest moments of the day was when the very pregnant Koala wrangler came out with a very young koala balanced on her baby belly. She told us the baby was already in training to be held by tourists and it was just adorable to see her cuddle the little furball you could tell she was ready for her own child to arrive.
We took a scenic drive down to the beach for a picnic lunch and then followed the coast back to our hotel. We spent the remainder of the day relaxing at our hotel pool and doing a little last minute shopping and exploring in Adelaide.
